Well, I’m not sure yet. Anything and everything. I tend to snatch little bits of interesting information from everywhere, so I’ll have a hodegpodge of subjects here along with the occasional book review.
A little about me… a wife, a mom, a corgi owner, a witch, a writer, a reader, a student.
The wife… married for almost 12 years, together for 18. Marriage is one of life’s great challenges and one of its most rewarding. We’re in it for the long haul, he and I, and try to do and be our best to one another.
The mom… two wonderful boys. Sprog the Elder is beginning with that ‘tween attitude and if this is a taste of what’s to come, one of us will end up bald or institutionalized. Sprog the Younger is sweet and affectionate for now, but has a potentially criminal streak in him. For as crazy as Sprog the Elder drives me, I think it’s Sprog that Younger that will really run the show.
The corgi owner… and a cat. Can’t forget the cat. The corgi, a cardigan, is one awesome ball of short-legged, furry terror. The cat… my one word of advice on cats is to never name them after the Norse god of chaos. We have two little frogs too, but I find them vaguely creepy. The sprogs named them Blurby and Strat.
The witch… practicing Wiccan. Feel free to ask questions.
The writer… I have one completed manuscript that I’m currently shopping around to agents. Hopefully it will find a home soon. It’s a mystery story with pagan elements. I’m working on the sequel. Also coming along: a ghost story, a short story about a socially-dysfunctional wizard, and various nonfiction pieces, mostly on paganism.
The reader… I read it all. Some of it’s good, some of it’s not, but I devour the written word.
The student… in a Master of Fine Arts program in writing popular fiction. Hoping to get done and teach somewhere. Projected graduation date in January 2011.
